I’m an award-winning audio producer, reporter, and editor based in Philadelphia

AUDIO PRODUCTION and REPORTING

I have 5+ years experience as a radio producer, and 10+ as a reporter. My work has appeared in print and radio at VICE, Kaleidoscope, Snap Judgment, BBC, PRI’s The World, and WHYY, Next City, and High Country News, among others.

While a producer on the weekly news show Vice News Reports, I reported ARMED, a three-part series on schools arming their teachers. These are some of my other favorite episodes from my time at VNR. The episode “Monaea, a 2020 Diary,” which I co-produced with then-17-year-old Monaea Upton, won a Third Coast Award for Best Documentary, Silver in 2021.

Most recently, I co-produced Silenced: The Radio Murders, an investigative series about the murders of four revolutionary radio broadcasters in Miami’s Haitian diaspora.

STORY EDITING & PODCAST DEVELOPMENT

I’m currently editing Thriving, an upcoming series from Rowhome Productions & Technical.ly Philly.

I’ve also led research, pre-reporting, and pitch development for unreleased projects from Vice Media, Talkhouse Media, and Hyper Object Industries.

AND

Once upon a time, I was primarily a photographer. My 2013 series “City Under One Roof” won the Dorothea Lange - Paul Taylor Prize, and was named one of the 5 best photography exhibitions of the season by American Photo Magazine.

I’ve guided bike and kayak tours in Philadelphia, AK, and WA, moderated book talks at the Wooden Shoe, bargained with the Vice Union, and taught print reporters about transitioning to audio for AIR.

I’d love to talk to you about your story idea, editing your podcast, and whether you are getting paid fairly. I make a great broth.
